About Me
Welcome to CrotteausChams, my name is Dominic. I have long aspired to to own and breed chameleons since i was young. At and early age i spent a lot of time in the 90's in pet stores with my father, as he was a tropical fish hobbyist/breeder. I was always interested in all the reptiles, especially the chameleons.
I remember back then there were quite a few pet stores that carried Jackson Chameleons, even breeding pairs that were kept together! I was probably around the age of 10 when i asked my dad if we could breed chameleons. So we did extensive research and ultimately decided at the time, between cost and the extent of care required to breed and raise chameleons it just wasn't feasible.
With my father being the tropical enthusiast he was, i learned at a young age the necessity to do all the research on something before you buy or move forward with a project. Much like tropical fish and all the types there are their environmental requirements may vary drastically.
Very similar to what we see in all the different chameleon species.
So when i decided to embark on this new venture i first had to decide on what chameleon i wanted. I chose the Ambilobe Panther Chameleon. I really loved the coloration of this species. The vibrant orange, reds, yellows that we see in them is truly stunning. And probably some of my favorite colors as well.
I am confident that the research i have done will translate in my providing my customers with healthy chameleons that they can enjoy for years, with continued support from myself.

Mission
My aim is to deliver ongoing support and healthy chameleons to every customer, with their care from the moment they hatch until they go to their new homes. Based on my research and experience, I firmly believe that raising chameleons individually from hatchling to their forever homes is most effective method, creating a stress-free environment their growth. This personalized care ensures that each chameleon remains healthy, allowing me to make necessary adjustments for each one.
Vision
My main vision is continue to grow with knowledge and follow the best practices for providing the highest quality animals to my customers. I will continue to push to better my program and what i have to offer for my customers. Whether it be the chameleons i sell or simply knowledge and support. I will continue to stay on the smaller side so i can give the same attention to both my customers and animals.
